While Melissa, Christy, and myself were out for their Birthday's we were all discussing how we wanted to do something with the kids that we would make a yearly tradition for them. We all love traditional things yet we had yet to plan something like this. We decided upon one Winter tradition and one summer... Melissa came up with this idea, Friends & Frosting. So cute!! We all wore our pajamas, ate a lot, drank, and of course, decorated cookies! The kids had a blast, and so did we! Can't get over these hats and aprons. When they are 15 they will still be required to wear them. ;)

I love bundling these little darlings up. I think they look adorable. That's why I took pictures of them. The picture of Evan and I was done by Carter, all on his own! "Mommy let me take a picture of you and Evan"... just to let him play around and feel important I give him the camera. Huh, not bad buddy!

This is just one of those pictures in which Rocky and I will cherish forever. There couldn't be a better picture that shows her relationship with the boys any better. She is constantly making them laugh, loving them up and giving them all of her energy whenever she is around them.

Every year, Jess and I have the same discussion.. we will take these pictures while it is still warm out so we aren't shivering and wiping snot off the kids noses while trying to take pictures. Fail. Between all of our schedules there was only one weekend we were all able to get together. It was FREEZING. Jess, next year we will get it right OR we will change out "Fall family pics" to "Summer family pics. I could just squeeze these boys when I look at these pictures. Their facial expressions in each one of these pictures sure does show their exact personality. Evan, laid back, easy going but absolutely stubborn at the same time, cuddly, happy. Carter, energetic, also stubborn, fun loving, instigator, sweetheart, and completely annoyed with the process of taking pictures. Those are my boys for ya!

4 days without kids, alone time with Travis, good food, lots of drinks (wine), great friends, shopping, exercising, exploring the city... ah, peaceful. Travis' yearly Anesthesia conference was held here this year. Sooo, I took full advantage of that and went along. We had such a good time. We were in need of a trip like that. It's just nice to get away from daily grind for a few days and clear your mind. One of the best parts about this trip was that we got to meet the Robbins Family out there and spend some quality time together. Next year the conference is held in New Orleans. Esther and I are already planning on going. So that means, BOYS you better find a good article to present so us girls can hang out!!! As good as it was to go, it was just as good to get back to the kiddos.

We spent a weekend down in Cincinnati visiting Uncle Kurt and good old Miami University. That place really has changed within the past few years since Travis left. When I say "few years" I mean about 7. New buildings and restaurants but the same streets that take us back to many good memories. Maybe one of these days this is where they will end up for college?! I know Travis isn't giving them any other option ;)
